The Association of Treasurers of Romania (ATR) is a professional non-profit organization, created to support the professional interests of its members regarding the following: discharging professions related to corporate treasury, corporate finance, financial and capital markets. Officially established at the beginning of 2015, the Association of Treasurers of Romania (ATR) is a professional non-profit organization, created to support the professional interests of its members regarding the following: discharging professions related to corporate treasury, corporate finance, financial and capital markets. The association was founded at the initiative of thirteen founding members, for the purpose of formalizing a discussion group which has been active since 2013. There are meetings and monthly debates on topics of interests for our members, involving approximately 100 professionals (financial managers, treasurers, other specialists in corporate finances or capital markets) working in big Romanian or international corporations corporations across many branches of activity, including banks. The objectives of the Association mainly revolve around contributing to creating a mature and competitive financial market, promoting the collaboration and exchange of ideas between its members, promoting the profession of corporate treasury and corporate finance and strenghtening its prestige and recognition. Membership in the Association of Treasurers of Romania can be obtained upon referral made by a member and upon the approval of the Board of Directors. Membership can be obtained by any natural or legal person from Romania or outside Romania, provided that the applicant has interest or undertakes activities in corporate treasury, corporate finance, financial and capital markets, commits to promote and support the activities of the Association, accepts its status and pays the fees. The Association seeks to become a discussion partner for all institutions participating in the financial and capital market, as well as for universities and public authorities, in order to represent common legal interests of specialists in corporate treasury, corporate finance, financial and capital markets. The Association can present bills to decision making authorities, in order to perfect the legal frame regulating financial, capital and other related markets.
